Specializing in instruction for beginner through intermediate level piano and violin students, I'm passionate about making learning enjoyable, partnering with each student to create a successful lesson experience!  Showing students just how much they are able to do is what motivates me.  Whether that's learning to read notes for the first time, or analyzing and practicing a complicated piece - watching as the next step of growth occurs, remains a delight.

I've established a reputation for patient and gentle instruction - providing an environment conducive to learning and exploration.  Each student progresses at their own pace with ample praise for the journey!  This encouragement alongside the challenges, allows students to enjoy the process of learning to make music.

As a member of SPPTA (St. Paul Piano Teachers Association), MMTA (Minnesota Music Teachers Association), MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), APPI (Association of Professional Piano Instructors), ASTA (American String Teachers Association), NFMC (National Federation Music Clubs), and MusicLink I benefit not only from continuing education opportunities and collaboration with other instructors.  These affiliations also provide access to proven teaching resources, music exams, and both competitive and non-competitive performance and other opportunities for students.
